One is a 5-story building with 38 laboratories for genetics, molecular biology, and biochemistry; the other is a 2-story classroom building with teaching labs, classrooms, lecture hall, and a cafeteria with indoor and outdoor seating. The structural design consists of reinforced concrete with special vibration design. This facility received R&D Magazine's "Laboratory of the Year" award in its 25th year competition.
